Chapter 5 "Meet your new  pals"


Despite the first impression she'd had ,Vivi got along really well with Nami and her friends .Nami was right about them being somewhat immature, but this didn't bother Vivi at all.
She found them very funny and likeable.

-Im Nefetari Vivi. Nice to meet you all- She first introduced herself to them at the cafeteria. For a moment, all of them, except Luffy, looked at her in silence.

-Vivi will be sitting with us from now on- announced Nami to her friends
The Blond-haired boy was the first to talk. He got on his knees and grabbed one of Vivi's hands.

~Beautiful Lady, my dear love…Tell me, what is such a precious angel doing in this humble school?~

-This is Sanji. And don't worry; this is his usual behavior towards girls- Explained Nami to a confused and surprised Vivi
~!This is a dream come true!. You're as beautiful as Nami -Swan. How should I call you? Vivi-chawn? Vivi-san?!~

-Vivi would be fine…-
~!So sweet and polite!~  Sanji was so happy he passed out, with his cigarette  still on his lips

-Will he be ok?- asked Vivi to Nami with concern.
-Believe me, once you get to know him, you're gonna wish he'd stay forever like that. - answered the drowsy boy with green hair instead.  He lifted one hand and introduced himself –Name's  Zoro-

-My pleasure ,Zo…-
-Hey, what about me?! I'm Usopp,! - Interrupted the long nosed with black, curly hair, getting in front of Vivi  - ! The school's strongest student!-

-You wished…-

-! Shut up Zoro, you're making look bad!-
Ignoring them, Nami grabbed Vivi by the arm and gently lead her to the other side of the table, where the remaining three were sitting. One of them, a little reindeer, quickly hid under the table in the wrong way.

Seeing the poor thing was too nervous, Vivi decided to talk to the skinny one first.

-I'm Brook, dear lady. It's a great honor to meet you- he bowed respectfully –by the way, Vivi. Could I ask you something?-

-Sure- Brook was, besides Nami, the one Vivi felt more comfortable with until that moment. For what she'd seen, it looked like Brook was a real gentleman
Brook raised his head and asked with a polite voice:

-I was wondering if you could let me see your pant…-

-!YOU JERK! DON'T ASK HER THAT!- Nami gave Brook a punch on the head furiously.

-Na-nami…one of these days, you're punches are going to kill me, even though I'm already death.! Yohohoho!-

He suddenly transformed, from a gentleman, to a eccentric guy who was laughing by himself excitedly on the floor.
-What does he mean by "already death"?-
-Don't mind him. It's just one stupid joke of his…- Said Nami, kneeling near the table and trying to get Chopper out.

The reindeer stubbornly refused, while looking at Vivi with his wide-opened eyes .Nami tried to persuade him with candies, but was stopped by Vivi.
-No, don't force him. We can introduce each other whenever he feels ready-
Nami sighed, but recognized the other girl was right, besides, she was sure Chopper would eventually let go of his shyness and would start to trust Vivi and see her as a friend. It would take a day or maybe two, though.
Now, she had one last person to introduce to : Luffy.

The boy, however, was still too busy eating Zoro's lunch to pay any attention to the new girl, so it was up to Nami to introduce him .She grabbed Luffy by his cheek, making some chewed food to fall from his mouth

-Last but not least, this glutton right here is Luffy-

-Nami, why are you starching me cheek for? I can't right when you're doing that!- complained the strange boy. He swallowed the bunch of food that was on his mouth and looked at Vivi.



-Who is she? She has funny hair….Nami, is she your sister or something?-

-!!Luffy!!-
Nami feared that Luffy's comment would offend Vivi or would make her feel uncomfortable, but much to her surprise, Vivi started to laugh.
It was the first true laugh she'd had on that day, partially caused by Luffy , but it was mainly because she felt happy. Happy of finally have found good friends.

Realizing that no more introductions were needed, she sat down next to Luffy and enjoyed the rest of the recess with her new friends .A few minutes later, the bell rang, announcing the end of the recess.

The first ones to go out of the cafeteria were the Nobles, followed by the prefects and their respective friends. Then, in a much less organized way, the rest of the students abandoned the cafeteria, running like a heard of wild animals to their respective classes. Zoro left with them, since he had to attend to a different class than the rest of his friends.

-Try not to get lost again ,morimo head-said Sanji with sarcasm

-And you try not the get you flirty-butt dumped again, curly eyebrows-Sneered the green haried boy before joining the rest of the students.
Vivi and the rest of her friends were the last ones to leave. It was, according to Usopp, for Chopper's sake

Chopper had gotten trapped in the student's stampede last year, breaking one of his horns in the process. Chopper passed out immediately due the extreme pain .He was rescued unintentionally by Luffy, who had kneeled to pick up one piece of meat that had fallen from his hands. Chopper was taken immediately to the infirmary, where he stayed for two days, unconscious.

Luckily, his broken horn was found by his classmate Coby in the hallway, and the nurse was able to put it back into his head. The horn was not perfectly attached back, but it only required a small band-aid to hold it and prevent it to fall again.

-But that's in the past, and now we just laugh it up-said Usopp while walking alongside Vivi–Right, Luffy?-




-Yeah. But here between us, I've heard that Chopper still wets his bed whenever he remembers that day…-confided Luffy to Vivi
-!I DO NOT!- replied the reindeer after hearing Luffy's gossip
They laughed, including Vivi.

Together, they walked through some more hallways, until they finally made it to the Music classroom.
The door was adorned with colorful music notes and some noises could be heard from inside the classroom.

-I think the class has already started guys …- commented Vivi, concerned about what kind of first impression she would give to the teacher, arriving late in the first class of the year.
However, the calm expression on Nami's face calmed

-No, this classroom is always noisy, with or without students. But we better get inside before Professor Smoker sees us-
The first ones to get inside were Chopper, Usopp and Nami, then, Luffy and Vivi.  Sanji kept the door open for Vivi to enter, so he was the last one.

Nobody, not even Professor Apoo, noticed them entering. But if they had stayed outside for three more seconds, they would have been caught by Smoker, who passed through the same hallway .He was grabbing Zoro by his ear. Smoker , unlike Principal Sengoku, was not going to buy some brat's excuse, especially when it was such a stupid one.

-! Professor, I'm telling you, I got lost in my way to the classroom!-

-Save your breath, Roronoa. I'm not event listening to you-
Perhaps, one or two hours of cleaning the school's trophies would teach the kid a lesson .And if that didn't work, there were a lot of coffee mugs to clean at the professor's lounge, and much more dishes to wash at the cafeteria…
